Ken Orton
1925 - 2015

Ken Orton of Etobicoke and formerly Tillsonburg passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Humber River Hospital, Toronto, in his 90th year. Beloved husband and best friend of 64 years to June (Cowell) Orton. Survived by his sisters-in-law Eunice & Gil Rauw of Tillsonburg and Joyce Kaminski of Brantford as well as several nieces & nephews in Canada and England. Ken is predeceased by his parents James & Emily (Hart) Orton and his sister Jean Bolton. Ken served in the British Merchant Navy from 1940-1944 and sailed on the Queen Mary. He was the founder of CKOT Radio Station in Tillsonburg and was involved in film production. Friends will be received at the Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519)842-5221 on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 from 1 p.m. until time of Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Interment will be at the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Cancer Society or to the Tillsonburg Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family.
