The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Ken Orton can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Larry McIntyre
Condolence: June, all, certainly I am saddened to get the news of Ken's passing with fond memories going back to 1956, when Ken launched my on-air career at CKOT, later working with him on his film documenting the Boy Scouts of Canada at the 11th World Scout Jamboree in Marathon, Greece in 1963. The film won the Iron Gondola, top prize in the Venice, Italy, Scout Films Festival that year, and essentially launched AKO as a film production company. We had lost touch through the years since, but certainly I had not forgotten you, both him and yourself. Ironically, Ken's name had come up on conversation on Thursday. My condolences - certainly he was one of a kind.
