Obituary for David Leslie Young
David Leslie Young 1952-2016
Unexpectedly, on Friday, October 28, 2016 at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, David Young of Tillsonburg passed away at the age of 64 years. Beloved husband of Lois (Conklin) for 43 years. Much loved father of Michael (Lauren) and Jill Ferguson (Brett). Cherished grandpa of Natalie and Brenna. David is also survived by his father Roy. Predeceased by his mother Ila Teall
(1993). David drove truck for most of his working life, he worked for ICL, Yellow Freight and until his retirement, Verspeeten Cartage. David will be sadly missed by his many friends of hockey, those he worked with and all who knew him. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service for David will be held in Ostrander’s chapel on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Brent Shepherd officiating. Interment to follow at the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations, in David’s memory, to Cancer Research, Heart & Stroke Foundation or Hockey For Everyone would be appreciated by the Young family.
