MURIEL “BETTY” GRACE REBECCA TURRILL (1926- 2017)
Peacefully, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Sunday, April 16, 2017, Muriel “Betty” (Bates) Turrill, of Pt. Burwell, passed away at the age of 90 years. Beloved wife of the Late Erwin Turrill. Loving mother of Barbara Norman (Kevin) of Pt. Burwell, Kathy Hanley of Tillsonburg, Mary Thompson (Dave) of Delhi, Arthur Turrill of Woodland Beach and mother-in-law of Doris Fowler (Walt) of Tillsonburg. Cherished grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Lillian Robinson (Harvey) of Langton and Jean Nevill (Ron) of St. Thomas. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son Bob Turrill, son-in-law Tim Norman, daughter-in-law Sylvia Turrill, sisters Ruth Bates, Barbara Gorvett, Maryanne Wellesley and 3 brothers Harry, Jack and Charlie Bates. Betty was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 524 Pt Burwell. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service for Betty will be held in Ostrander’s Chapel on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Kevin Babbey officiating. Interment to follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery, Vienna, Memorial donations the Sunshine Foundation, Pt.
