Suddenly at her residence in Silver Hill, on Friday, October 20, 2017, at the age of 90 years, Pauline Mae Chanyi (nee West). Beloved wife of the late Sam Chanyi (1987). Much loved mother to Linda Chanyi of Dorchester, Mary Lea Chanyi of Kingston, Brian Chanyi and his wife Wendy of Silver Hill, Karen Parsons and her husband Paul of Courtland, and the late Diane Chanyi (1995). Loving grandmother to Michelle (Angel), Laura Lea, Christopher, Cassandra, and Steven. Great grandmother to 7 great grandchildren. Pauline and Sam farmed in Silver Hill, the farm has been in the Chanyi family for over 50 years. The visitation for Pauline will take place at Ostrander Funeral Home Limited, 43 Bidwell St., Tillsonburg, ON, N4G 3T6, (519) 842-5221 on Wednesday October 25, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon, followed by Pauline’s funeral service in the Ostrander’s Funeral Home Chapel at 12 noon. Rev. Carlene Brown-Palmer of St. Paul’s United Church will be officiating. Interment will be held in the Tillsonburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Participation House, Brantford, or Camp Trillium, Waterford would be greatly appreciated by Pauline’s family.
