Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, October 27, 2017 at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, Hank Meyer at the age of 87 years went to be with his Lord and Savior. Beloved husband of Jean. Dear loving father of Winnie Reeve (Scott) of Port Dover, Carolijn Verbakel (John) of Tillsonburg and Jennifer Johnson (Reg) of Ancaster. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one on the way. Born in 1930 in Siegerswoude in the Netherlands. Hank immigrated to Canada in 1952. He worked in a greenhouse in Brampton and became employed at the city of Mississauga as a supervisor in the parks and recreation division. He then retired at the age of 55 to a farm in Drumbo in 1986 and in 1996 Hank and Jean moved to Woodstock. For the past year Jean and Hank have resided in Tillsonburg. The memorial visitation will be held at the Tillsonburg Christian Reformed Church, 150 Concession St W, Tillsonburg, ON N4G 4G8, on Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 2:00-3:00 P.M. with the memorial service to follow at 3:00 P.M. A light reception will be held after the service. Memorial donations in memory of Hank may be made at the church to the Alzheimer’s Society of Oxford County or Tillsonburg Christian Reformed Church.
