Obituary for Mervin DeBassige
After a brief battle with illness, Mervin DeBassige of Tillsonburg, formerly of Manitoulin Island, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at the age of 71 years. Loving brother to Mabel Roy and her husband Richard, and Buddy DeBassige. Uncle to several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Lillian, and 13 siblings. Merv will be missed yet fondly remembered by his many in-laws, relatives, neighbours, and friends. Merv was a master craftsman in woodworking, his creations are throughout all of Ontario. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service for Merv will be held in Manitoulin Island at a later date.
