The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of John McDonald can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Bob and Gladys Douglas
Condolence: Gladys and I were very sad to hear of the passing of John. We send our sincere condolences to the family at this difficult time. We enjoyed staying and visiting with him when we were in Newfoundland. We also both enjoyed working with him at St.Joesph's Hospital in London, Ontario. He will be greatly missed.

Condolence: I am so sorry to hear of the passing of John (Jack).
I will always remember how good you both were when my sister and I visited Newfoundlland a few years ago. Jack was a very good friend to Tom and I.
He will be truly missed.
God bless you and keep you and your family strong.
Marie.

Condolence From: Mary Jane
Condolence: Sometimes John & I were 2 ships passing thru time at get-togethers with wondering glimpses of each other's impishness. He seemed to be a potential candidate to not only tap a brew or compare what was our favourites at the pot luck buffet BUT perhaps also, a willing person to sing a little off key if the mood was right. If my memory is correct John was the person to cut out the wooden bears et al & Barb was the painter of those treasures adorning various homes. Together they were quite the pair providing a twinkle for each other as well as the usual temporary tune out moments AND grrr's that happens with an Mars & Venus set of people. Finger hugs to his loved ones especially Barb, as they share a laugh as well as tear over the weeks / months ahead. Prayers & God Bless.
