DOUGLAS ALBERT “AL” ANDERSON (1941 – 2018)_

Peacefully, with his family by his side, at University Hospital, London on Thursday, January 11, 2018, Douglas Albert “Al” Anderson of Thedford and formerly of the Tillsonburg area, passed away at the age of 76 years. Beloved husband of the Late Margaret (McCallum) Anderson (2004). Proud and caring father of Julie Lynn Anderson (Chris) of London and Ivan Anderson (Cathy) of Madison, Alabama. Cherished “Bubba” of Jeremy, Zoe, Liam, Tely and Katerina. Dear brother of Fred Anderson (Lana) of Aylmer, Les Anderson (Marilyn) of Tillsonburg, Laura Hawley of Tillsonburg and Harvey Anderson (Mary) of Dorchester. Al is also survived by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents James and Edith (Harvey) Anderson, brothers; Ivan and George, sister; Eleanor Grant, brothers-in-law Bud Hawley, Bill Grant and sister-in-law; Phyllis Anderson. Friends and relatives are invited to share memories of Al at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service for Al will be held in Ostrander’s Chapel on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Doug Scott officiating. Spring interment at the Delmer Cemetery. Memorial donations to University Hospital – LHSC or Canadian Cancer Research Society would be appreciated by the Anderson family.
