EVEYLYN (LYN) SHIECK (1922 – 2018)
Peacefully, at Norview Lodge Nursing Home, Simcoe on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, Eveyln (Lyn) (McMillan) Shieck, formerly of Tillsonburg passed away at the age of 95 years. Beloved wife of the Late Ernest Shieck. Proud and loving mother of Gwendolyn Stephenson of South Carolina, Gary Shieck (Carmen) of Toronto and Kirby Shieck and his former wife Yvonne of Simcoe. Cherished grandmother of Robbie (Rachel), Tara (Howie), Trisha, Andrew (Aerial), Alex, Carter, Katie, Lindsay (Sean), Justin (Jennifer) and great-grandchildren Robbie, Ryan, Ryleigh, Madison, Georgia, Brianna, Jordyn and Gibson. Dear sister of Jean Port of Ottawa, Lillian Lewis of Ottawa, Doris Clemen of Port Elgin, Amy Graham of Ottawa and Myrtle Mitchell of Renfrew. Evelyn is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son-in-law Jospeh Stephenson and her sister Marion Clifford. Evelyn was a member of St. Paul’s United Church in Tillsonburg. She was also a former member of the Tillsonburg Golf and Country Club and the Tillsonburg Curling Club. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private service will be held in Ottawa at a later date. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Societies of Haldimand Norfolk may be made by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) who have been entrusted with the arrangements.
