Obituary for David "Dave" Arthur Dodsley

DAVID ARTHUR DODSLEY (1948 – 2018)
Peacefully, at his home in Delmer on Thursday, March 15, 2018, David “Dave” Arthur Dodsley passed away after a courageous battle at the age of 69 years. Beloved husband and best friend for 54 years to Carol (Coulthard) Dodsley. Proud and loving father of Carin Dodsley (Darren Jukes) of Ottawa, Derek Dodsley (Rossa) of Tillsonburg and Colton Dodsley (Glennis MacLeod) of London. Cherished grandpa of Jiera, Landon, Declan and Lauren. Dear brother of Bill Dodsley (Connie) of Tillsonburg, Barbara Winter of Ingersoll and Brian Dodsley of Brantford. Dave is also survived by his in-laws Chris and Pam, Bruce, Betty and John, David and Terry and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents William and Hazel (Millen) Dodsley, brother Greg Dodsley and nephew John Winter. Dave was the former Proprietor of Dodsley Fuels Limited in Tillsonburg for many years. He was a proud longtime member of the King Hiram Masonic Lodge and the Tillsonburg Shrine Club. Dave was an avid athlete and outdoorsman. He also had a passion for the north, his many dogs but more than anything else, he loved his family. Friends and relatives are invited to A Celebration Of Life on Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Lions Auditorium in the Tillsonburg Community Centre. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date at the Delmer Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Tillsonburg Shrine Club may be made by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) who have been entrusted with the arrangements.
