ROBERT “ROCKY” WILLIAM ROCKEFELLER
(1940-2018)
Unexpectedly, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Saturday, March 17, 2018, Robert “Rocky” William Rockefeller of R.R. # 1 Vienna passed away at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Linda (Pryde) for 40 years. Proud and loving father of Michelle Myny (Darryl) of Eden, Cheri Ann Rockefeller (Mark) of Guelph and Greg Rockefeller (Vanessa) of Tillsonburg. Cherished grandpa of James, Rachel, Andrew, Lydia, Rebecca, Daniel, Anna, Julia, Charity, Nathaniel, McKenna, Avery, Emerson, Jagger, Keirghan and great-grandchildren Lukas and Jaxon. Also survived by 1 brother and 3 sisters as well as many nieces and nephews. Rocky was the Proprietor of Rockefeller Construction for over 50 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and training his prize winning beagles. He was a member of the Elgin County and Thames Valley Beagle Clubs. Rocky was proud of the fact he was able to train his dog, Hunter to be an Ontario Field Champion. Rocky also had a passion for country music and for hosting barbeques and fish fries for his many friends and family. He had a soft spot for children and would do whatever he could to help them. But more than anything else, he loved his family. In keeping with Rocky’s wishes, cremation has taken place with private family arrangements. Memorial donations to the Make A Wish Foundation may be made by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) who have been entrusted with the arrangements.
