LEONAS “LEO” RUTKAUSKAS (1919 – 2018)
Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, at Valleyview Home in St. Thomas on Saturday, April 28, 2018, Leonas “Leo” Rutkauskas, formerly of Tillsonburg, passed away in his 100th year. Beloved husband of the Late Brone Rutkauskas (1991). Proud and loving father of Irene Penthor (Karl), Val Salkauskas, John Rutkauskas (Barb) and Joanne Nowell (Robert). Cherished grandfather of Bridget (Joe), Jeff (Carol), Dawn (Jamie), Casey (Heidi), Shawn, (Kellie), Tara (Brandon), Shelby (Chris) and great-grandchildren Stacey (Luc), Madison, Alex, Nicholas, Ronan, Auron, Ewan, Aidan, Molly and Grace. Leo is also survived by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son-in-law Walter Salkauskas and three brothers Matthew, Joseph and Vincent. A private graveside service will be held at St. John’s Lithuanian Cemetery in Mississauga. Memorial donations to the Children’s Wish Foundation may be made by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) who have been entrusted with the arrangements.
