Peacefully at the Delhi Long Term Care, surrounded by his loving family, Ross Robertson Massecar, formerly of Glen Meyer, passed away on Tuesday, May, 08, 2018 at the age of 89 years. Predeceased by his loving wife of 70 years, Helen (February 24, 2018). Supportive father to the late James (2003) and his wife Barbara Becker of Kitchener; John and his wife Marilyn of Tillsonburg; Phil and his wife Elsie of Simcoe. Beloved grandfather to Kelly (Randy); Daniel (Tracy); Sarah (Tim); Aaron (Jodi); Justin (Cassandra); Kaitlyn (Eric). Great grandfather to Chelsea; Ty; Kevin; Max; Ross; Sacha; and Odilon. Ross was an Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Raymond and Sarah. Friends and relatives will be received for visitation at Ostrander’s Funeral Home Limited, 43 Bidwell St., Tillsonburg, ON, N4G 3T6, (519) 842-5221 on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Masonic Service will be held under the auspice of Vienna Lodge #237, AF&AM, Monday at 6:30 p.m. The funeral service for Ross will be held in Ostrander’s Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday May 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Lynedoch. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Shriner’s Hospital – Children’s Cancer Research would be appreciated by the Massecar family. The family of Ross would like to express a Special Thank-you to Dr. William Thorogood, and especially to the staff and caregivers of Delhi Long Term Care Facility for their utmost care and compassion.
