JAMES “JIM” WATSON PARKER
Peacefully, after a courageous struggle with illness, James “Jim” Parker has passed away at the age of 80, with his wife Melodie at his side, on Tuesday July 31, 2018. He was born in St. Thomas, Ontario in 1938. Jim lived 8 years in Union, Ontario where he spent his time learning the farming business. At the age of 17, Jim joined the Royal Canadian Navy and spent 8 months on the Royal Yacht Brittania, sailing around the world with Prince Phillip on board. Jim is survived by his wife Melodie, Daughter Lori-Lynn Parker (Corey) of Tillsonburg, Son Darren Parker of Peterborough, Step son David Schertzer of British Columbia. Also survived by his grandchildren Leandra, Jessica, Stephanie, Katie and Charlie, brother D. Wayne Parker (Connie) of Dorchester, and Sister Barbara (John) Lidster of London. Jim’s greatest passion was playing golf and enjoyed 3 hole- in- one games. Jim’s wish was to be cremated and no funeral service. Remember Jim as he would like you to remember him.
