VERNA COLENE (FENTIE) MCKENZIE (1933 – 2018)
Peacefully, at her home in Courtland surrounded by the love of her family on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, Verna Colene (Fentie) McKenzie passed away at the age of 85 years. Beloved wife and best friend of the Late Stuart McKenzie (1994). Proud and loving mother of John McKenzie (Leslie), Cathy Boughner (Gary), Ken McKenzie and Angela Banks (Bill) Predeceased 2014. Cherished grandma of Ann Marie, Lindsay, Scott, (Ryan) Predeceased 1993, Michelle, (Julie) Predeceased 1993, Cody, Samantha, Kayla, Michael and great-grandchildren Mason, Cole and Owen. Dear sister of Garry Fentie (Janet) and Vivian Fentie (Predeceased 1972) and her niece Pam Fentie (Predeceased 1972). Verna is also predeceased by her parents Bruce (1994) and Madilene “Tiny” (Brooks) Fentie (1991). Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Sunday, October 14, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. The Funeral Service for Verna will be held in Ostrander’s Chapel on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Mike and Tina Diaz officiating. Interment to follow at the Delmer Cemetery. Memorial donations to the C.C.A.C. (Norfolk County) or the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the McKenzie family.
