The family wishes to announce the passing of their beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, Verna Laur (nee Anger), of Mossley, at the Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll, on Monday, October 15, 2018 in her 100th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Colin (2006). Wonderful mother to Judy Barth and her husband Fred; Lynda Sykes and her husband Wayne; Bill Laur and his wife Camille. Loving grandmother to Deanna Barth; Derek (Amanda) Barth; Veronica Sykes; Donna Sykes (Robert Thompson). Great grandmother to Quinten and Harrison Barth; Sheldon and Aurora Sykes-Thompson. Loving sister to Erie Buchwald. Predeceased by her parents Austen and Muriel Anger; Sister Estella Jackson; brothers George and Jack Anger. Verna always stated “I had a good life”. She always felt blessed by her family and friends and all the wonderful memories. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Monday, October 22, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The Funeral Service for Verna will follow at 1:00 p.m. in Ostrander’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at Dorchester Union Cemetery. Memorial donations in Verna’s memory to the Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll or to a Charity of Choice would be appreciated.
