JOSEPH “JOE” LESLIE WILLIAMSON (1948 – 2018)

Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, Joseph “Joe” Leslie Williamson passed away at the age of 70 years. Proud and loving father of Keddra Williamson , Jodi Williamson both of Tillsonburg and Jeremy Williamson of St. Catharines. Cherished grandpa of Sydnie, Joshua, Jasmine, Aaron, Brandon and William. Dear brother of Rosemary Hopper of R.R. # 3 Tillsonburg. Joe is also survived by his nephews Trevor, Jason and Harry. Predeceased by his parents Cecil and Audrey (Kipp) Williamson, his granddaughter Krista and nephew Kevin. Joe was a dedicated employee of Canada Post as Rural Mail Carrier for R.R. # 6 Tillsonburg for 40 years. He was also an avid outdoorsman. Joe had a passion for hunting and fishing and volunteered his time with Educast. Joe was the 1998 Southwestern Ontario Bass Association Champion. But his greatest love was spending time with his family whom he loved very much. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Sunday, October 28, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. The Memorial Service for Joe will be held in Ostrander’s Chapel on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Old Delmer Cemetery. Memorial donations to VON-Sakura House or the London Regional Cancer Clinic would be appreciated by the Williamson family.
