After fighting the good fight, Irene Frances Hughes, of Tillsonburg, was called Home to be with her Lord, on Monday November 26, 2018 at the age of 85 years. Predeceased by her loving husband Donald (1997), and grandson Michael (1994). Loving mother to Douglas Hughes and his wife Barb of New Brunswick, Gary Hughes and his wife Mindy Mae of Alberta, Richard Hughes and his wife Cheryl of Courtland. Caring and compassionate grandmother to several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sister to Elizabeth Butler. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents John and Clara McGregor, brothers’ David and Walter McGregor. Irene will always be remembered for her kind soul and caring nature. Cremation has taken place. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519)842-5221 on Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. A private family inurnment will be held at the Tillsonburg Cemetery, at a later date. Memorial donations to the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital - Dialysis would be appreciated.
