Obituary for Jack Russel Gerow
JACK RUSSEL GEROW
1934-2018
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Jack Russel Gerow on November 28, 2018. Jack was born in Tillsonburg on January 19, 1934 the son of Jim and Mary Gerow. He is predeceased by his loving wife and best friend Joan Gerow (October 2015). Much loved Dad to John (Lorraine), Allen (Paula) and Donna. Incredibly proud and loving Grandpa to Kyle (Casey), Emma (Andrew), Liam, Luke, Kiara, Jason, Joshua, Amber-lynn, Ricky, Christian, Brookelynn, and Makaelynn.
Jack leaves behind his sister Donna McKenney (John) and his wonderful Aunt Betty (Dodd) who has visited Dad every day since Mom passed away three years ago and has been our rock through many difficult weeks.
Jack worked for the Royal Bank his entire career and was posted to many different cities throughout Ontario while raising our family. This was always seen as an adventure for Dad and the entire family. He returned back to his hometown of Tillsonburg with Mom to retire.
His happiest days were always when family and especially grandkids visited. His grandkids were his love and joy and he always made time for them. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, friend and neighbour and will be missed by everyone that knew him.

Special thanks to the wonderful nurses and doctors on the 2nd floor at Tillsonburg Hospital who took great care of Dad in his final days. We appreciate everything you did for our family.
Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service which will be at 12:00 noon with Pastor Steve Amorin officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations to Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation would be appreciated by the Gerow family.
