Obituary for Robert "Bob" Montgomery

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert "Bob" James Montgomery. Born in Toronto on September, 14, 1958, but lived a good part of his life in Tillsonburg. He was found to have succumbed after a lengthy and courageous battle with bladder cancer at home on December 9, 2018.
He will be sorely missed and remembered by his closest friends, more than anyone could have ever realized. His friendship and kindness were unique; especially to those that needed help, he was always there when asked. He would be there to talk with, on a friend’s porch or in their garage, talking about bike trails, the weather, and renovation projects.
He will be deeply missed by the Salvation Army as he was an active volunteer on Christmas Day for many years, helping to distribute the meals to those people in need. He was an avid bicycle enthusiast, and also helped to repair many of his friends’ bikes. He will be greatly missed by those that were in the bicycle clubs he participated in. His love and passion went on towards making certain that the trails that were used by many were always safe, he was the happiest there, even through his illness.
He was predeceased by parents, Robert and Madge Montgomery.
Cremation has taken place. Interment will be set at a later date.
