1961-2018
After a lengthy battle with illness, Karen Margaret Hopper (nee Thorne) of Tillsonburg, passed away at VON-Sakura House, Woodstock, at the age of 57 years, on Monday, December 31, 2018 with her loving husband Merv by her side. She was a loving daughter-in-law to Millard and Ila Hopper. Karen was a loving sister to Jim Thorne and his wife Sherrie. Very special Aunt to Ashley Thorne, Cody Blancher and his wife Stacey and their daughter Lillian. Loving niece to Moe and Margaret Dubois. Karen will be forever cherished by her many family and amazing friends. Predeceased by her parents, James and Betty Lou Thorne, and her sister, Kathy Blancher. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to a visitation for Karen that will be held at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Sunday, January 06, 2019 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society (Chondrasarcoma) or VON Sakura House would be appreciated by the Hopper family.
