Joan passed away peacefully at the age of 98 years on Friday, December 28, 2018, at Maple Manor in Tillsonburg, where she had resided for only two months. Joan was the wife of the late Horace Hemming, who has been waiting patiently for his beloved wife since 1979. She also joins her Mother, Ada Louisa Bull, Father, Joseph Bull and all siblings; Christopher, Horace, Helen, Norman, Henry, Edward and Mary, and granddaughter Samantha Christine Rolls.

Dearly loved mother and friend to Elizabeth Rolls of Tillsonburg and Christine McCullough (and husband Charles) of Victoria Harbour, Ontario, she will be missed every day of their lives.

Joan was born in Wolverhampton, England and was the youngest of her seven siblings. She came to Canada in 1960 with her husband and children, and worked at Peterborough Civic Hospital for 20 years. Joan was best known for her bright spirit, beautiful eyes and smile. She will always be loved and never forgotten by her family and friends.

Cremation took place on Monday, December 31, 2018 and a memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Anglican Church, with Father Osita Oluigbo officiating, followed by a reception in the church hall; all are welcome. Interment will be in Peterborough, Ontario in May.
