I am so saddened to hear Randy has passed , the world just became a little less interesting. Lila, as always your words are eloquent and perfect in describing who Randy was and how he touched our lives . He was indeed competitive, but he was also so patient with those of us that were just trying to keep up with him . To me personally, he was a friend , but he was also a teacher . Whether it was in business, golf , relationships , or even just cards , he took great pride is seeing others listen , learn and succeed. Don’t get me wrong, he still wanted to win , ( and he always did ) but it always made competing with him so much fun . Lila , I will never be able to express how much you both have impacted my life for the better . You took me ( and Heather ) into your home when I needed it most . I was a broke , 30 year old ex drummer in rock band who was trying to find a career ( that paid money ) and you both taught me everything I needed to know in the world of business, encouraged me , showed me another side of myself, you changed my life . I wish I had a story about Randy that I could surprise you with , but I’m pretty sure you were there for them all. My fondest memories are of us all sitting down at the kitchen table ( after another magnificent meal ) with wine glasses in hand , music playing in the background, for our nightly game of “ Boots Canasta “ , usually girls vs boys . We would have the best conversations too , some serious, but mostly crazy . I remember that we laughed a LOT . Good times . Finally, would like to send my condolences to you and family, in such a heart breaking time . I was glad to hear that Randy went peacefully, but I know you are dealing with a huge loss . Please take good care of yourself, love TW
